My Brother has fallen; no I don't know his name, Have not the same parents still family all the same, He lives in this town, I live in another, It doesn't really matter cause this man is my Brother.

The ceremonialringing of the bell in memory of those who died in the line of duty is an ageold tradition of the Fire Services that dates back over 150 years.
The tradition reflects respect and honor to those who gave their lives to theirduty. A distinctive bell ringing marks the end of an emergency and a return to quarters. In memory of all who died during the attacks on September 11, 2001 the bell will rang five times in series of fives, this symbolizes

5 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 5.
Multiplied out this equals 3,125, a number very close to the number of people who died as result of the attacks. And so, to those who have selflessly given their lives for the good of their fellow Americans, their task completed, their duties well done, to our fallen comrades, their last alarm, they are going home.

Obama Restoring Endangered Species Act Provision

Today President Obama will restore rules requiring U.S. agencies consult with independent federal experts to determine if their actions might harm threatened and endangered species, according to an administration official who asked not to be identified, marking yet another reversal of President Bush's environmental legacy.
In December 2008, the Bush administration changed a longstanding practice under the Endangered Species Act by issuing rules that allowed agencies to move ahead with projects and programs without seeking an independent review by either the Fish and Wildlife Service or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Environmentalists and scientists said this shift could allow agencies to press ahead with plans that could hurt already-vulnerable species across the country.

The Endangered Species Act: Bad for People, Bad for Wildlife

In the 30 years since its enactment, the Endangered Species Act has emerged as one of the most powerful, and ineffective, environmental statutes on the books.

Of the some 1,260 species listed as "endangered" or "threatened" under the ESA, fewer than 30 have been taken off the list. And this is even worse than it looks. Some species were removed from the list because they became extinct; others, like the American alligator, were taken off because it was determined they were never endangered in the first place.
The greatest advantage to a voluntary, nonregulatory program is that it would eliminate the perverse incentives of the current law that have turned rural landowners and endangered species into mortal enemies. No longer afraid of losing their livelihoods for the sake of endangered species, landowners would become willing partners in helping wildlife.

Controversy Erupts Over Washington State Firefighter Deaths
HIGHLIGHT: After several firefighters died in a massive fire in Washington state, some are now blaming their deaths on a federal endangered species law. DONNA KELLEY, CNN ANCHOR:
As a Wyoming wildfire dies down, the final residents, under a mandatory evacuation order, can return to their homes today near Jackson. They'll be able to go back about 40 minutes from now we hear, actually. In the meantime, a massive demobilization of firefighters is expected to begin later today. The fire is about 80 percent contained. It consumed nearly 4,500 acres.
And now to the controversy surrounding another wildfire, a fatal one in Washington state. Several firefighters died in the 30 mile fire and now some are blaming their deaths on a federal endangered species law.

On July 10th, four firefighters battling a blaze in Washington state's Okanogan National Forest The Okanogan National Forest is a U.S. National Forest in north-central Washington State, United States. Bureaucratic Bumbling

Eventually, permission was given for the helicopter mission. Around 3 p.m., more than nine hours after the initial request, the helicopter drop finally came. By then it was too late; the fire was rapidly spreading. In short order, it grew from 25 acres to 2,500 acres, trapping the firefighters.

The fire crew made a desperate attempt to flee in their vans. Pete Kampen, a seven-year firefighter and the fire's crew-boss trainee, got seven firefighters into a van and down the road, racing a wall of flames that threatened to cut off any escape route. "We just flat gunned it. It's the first time I've been really scared," an Associated Press story quoted Kampen as saying.
The remaining 14 crew members were following in a second van but the towering inferno blocked their path and drove them back. They were forced to abandon their vehicle and take refuge in their fire tents. Two hikers trapped by the soaring flames stumbled onto the crew and one of the young firefighters gave them refuge in her shelter, even though it is designed for single occupancy. Ten of the stranded crew members and the two hikers survived the harrowing ordeal; four did not.

"The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service wishes to clarify that wildland fires represent an emergency under the Endangered Species Act and that in no circumstances is emergency response to be delayed or obstructed because of Endangered Species Act considerations," declared the agency. If that is official policy, it obviously is not the de facto [Latin, In fact.] In fact, in deed, actually.

The Endangered Species Act has been wreaking havoc for decades and the Thirty Mile Fire is not the first time the ESA has taken human lives. In 1992, environmental extremists used the ESA to stop controlled bums of dangerous brush build-ups, claiming the preventive actions would endanger protected gnatcatchers and rats. Fire authorities warned that deadly infernos awaited unless the brush was burned early in the year. The environmentalists, with their attorneys and media support, won. But nature had its way. Propelled by strong "Santa Ana" winds and fueled by the protected brush, wildfires consumed more than 150,000 acres, inflicting more than half a billion dollars in damage. More than 500 homes were lost or damaged in the disaster. Some 30,000 people were forced to evacuate their properties. Three people lost their lives.

Thousands were left temporarily homeless. And many endangered gnatcatchers were killed by the flames and most of their habitat was destroyed. Millions of acres of federal forests are now clogged with unnatural fuel buildup, thanks to "endangered species" regulations that have set the fuse on more tragedies to come. These tinderboxes are awaiting only a spark to burst into raging, deadly forest fires that will certainly take more human lives, while destroying resources, habitat, and many of the very species the ESA ostensibly os·ten·si·ble adj.

The laser light used inthe weapon temporarily impairs aggressors by illuminating or"dazzling" individuals, removing their ability to see the lasersource. The first two prototypes of the Personnel Halting and StimulationResponse, or PHaSR, were built here last month and delivered to thelaboratory's Human Effectiveness Directorate at Brooks City Base, Texas, andthe Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate at Quantico, Va. for testing.

"The future is here with PHaSR," said Capt. Thomas Wegner programmanager. Captain Wegner i s also the ScorpWorks flight commander within thelaser division of the energy directorate here. The Bible has much to say caring for elderly parents and other family members who are not able to care for themselves. The early Christian church acted as the social services agency for other believers. They cared for the poor, the sick, the widows and the orphans who had no one else to care for them.

Christians who had family members in need were expected to meet those needs. Unfortunately, caring for our parents in their old age is no longer an obligation that many of us are willing to accept.
The elderly can be seen as burdens rather than blessings.

Sometimes we are quick to forget the sacrifices are parents made for us when they are in need of care themselves.
Instead of taking them into our homes—whenever that is safe and feasible—we put them in retirement communities or nursing homes, sometimes against their will.
We may not value the wisdom they have acquired through living long lives, and we can discredit their advice as “outdated.”
When we honor and care for our parents, we are serving God as well. The Bible says, “The church should care for any widow who has no one else to care for her. But if she has children or grandchildren, their first responsibility is to show godliness at home and repay their parents by taking care of them.
This is something that pleases God very much....But those who won't care for their own relatives, especially those living in the same household, have denied what we believe. Such people are worse than unbelievers” (1 Timothy 5:3-4, 8).
Not all elderly people need or want constant, live-in care in their children's homes.
They may prefer to live in a community with other people their age, or they may be quite capable of complete independence. Regardless of the circumstances, we still have obligations to our parents. If they are in need of financial assistance, we should help them. If they are sick, we should take care of them.
If they need a place to stay, we should offer our home. If they need help with household and/or yard work, we should step up to assist. And if they are under the care of a nursing facility, we need to assess the living conditions to make sure they are being properly and lovingly cared for.
We should never allow the cares of the world to overshadow the things that are most important—serving God through serving people, especially the people in our own families. The Bible says, "Honor your father and mother"—which is the first commandment with a promise—"that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth" (Ephesians 6:2-3).

If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

    The NAACP and the liberal media have accused you, me and the entire Tea Party movement of being racist. According to liberals, if you disagree with their thinking or with the current administration, you are not only wrong; you are a "racist." This is a direct attack on you and me!

Or if you have opinions that differ from the NAACP and the liberal establishment, and you are African American, you are an "Uncle Tom," "not black enough," and "against our people."   In o ther words, the NAACP believes itself the thought police for millions of Black Americans.    Disagree with them and you will be ostracized and attacked. Their message is clear; agree or pay the price.

   The race card is played when all else has failed. It was inevitable that it would eventually be used aggressively against the tea party movement. First, we were called disgruntled voters, and then Speaker Pelosi said our movement was nothing more than "Astro Turf" and laughed it off. Next the DNC released an ad calling us an "angry mob." And now, according to the NAACP, we're racist!

     Not only is the NAACP accusing the tea party movement, but the media is taking the words from one person to smear the whole movement.

Dengue Fever Showing Up In Central Florida
Officials Trying To Prevent Spread To Local Mosquito Population
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. --

Dengue fever has infected a handful of people in Central Florida, health officials said. “This is not a regular flu virus that you get, you feel a lot worse,” said Dr. Todd Husty. “You get a real great fever, a horrible fever; it's called ‘break bone fever.’ You feel like your bones are breaking, but it's really joint pain,” Husty said. Health officials said more than a dozen people have picked up the virus from Mosquitoes in the Keys. More than 30 more across the state of Florida have the fever after picking it up out of the country.

Signs And Symptoms Of Dengue Fever Mosquitoes in Central Florida do not carry Dengue, but they could if people are not careful, local doctors said. Mosquito control experts are treating areas near where three Orange County people have Dengue. While the patients caught the fever somewhere else, if they get bitten by mosquitoes the virus could get into the local mosquito population.

“There's a possibility that you've produced enough virus for our local mosquitoes to pick it up,” said Dr. Tom Breaud with Orange County Mosquito Control. Doctors say anyone with Dengue should stay inside, away from mosquitoes. While most mosquitoes bite at dawn and dusk, insects carrying Dengue have a different pattern. “The mosquitoes that transmit Dengue to us bite during the day,” said Breaud.

-- People planning to visit Florida should take measures to protect themselves against dengue fever by preventing mosquito bites, advises an expert.
For the first time in 75 years, the mosquito-borne disease has reappeared in parts of Florida, and dozens of cases have been reported so far this year. Dengue fever affects 100 million people worldwide every year.

"Dengue fever is transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, which are present in the U.S. These are domesticated mosquitoes that breed in still waters around homes, such as potted plant dishes, vases, bird baths, etc.
Draining these water sources is an important measure to prevent infection," Dr. Bert Lopansri, medical director of the Loyola University Health System International Medicine and Traveler's Immunization Clinic, said in a university news release.

Recalling Irish Famine City breaks ground for memorial to victims

T he Irish famine of 1845-50 left more than a million dead and launched an immigration wave that forever changed New York City and the nation.

Yesterday, Gov. Pataki and Mayor Giuliani broke ground on a memorial in Battery Park City honoring those who died.

"May it ever remind us of those who perished and of those who had the courage to cross the ocean to find their freedom," Pataki said. "May it also serve as a symbol to all that religious persecution through starvation cannot and will not be tolerated."

Between 1845 and 1850, more than a million Irish starved when a blight destroyed the country's potato crop. Critics have long slammed Protestant England, which ruled largely Catholic Ireland at the time, for doing nothing to save the dying.

The Irish Hunger Memorial will be at the corner of Vesey St. and North End Ave., between the Embassy Suites Hotel and the Hudson River. The $4.7 million project, to be completed by St. Patrick's Day 2002, will re-create a rugged Irish landscape, complete with stone walls, abandoned potato fields and dozens of species of native Irish plants. It will rise from a base structure inscribed with the history of the famine and the Irish people.

"Battery Park City could not be a more appropriate place to have this memorial," Giuliani said. "You can look at the Statue of Liberty. And you can see the connection between the Statue of Liberty and this memorial."

James Gill, chairman of the Hugh Carey Battery Park City Authority, said he hopes the tribute will be a reminder that starvation still exists in the world: "This memorial will stand for the proposition that what happened to the Irish during the years 1845 to 1850 must never happen again to any people at any time in any place."

Eddie Malloy, grand marshal of the St. Patrick's Day Parade, noted the timeliness of yesterday's groundbreaking. "It's very important that we never forget the past as we celebrate the future," he said.

The memorial's artist is Brian Tolle, the architects are David Piscuskas and Juergen Riehm, and the landscape artist is Gail Eileen Wittwer.

If 109 more signatures gathered, even Pelosi couldn't halt new vote

A measure in the U.S. House of Representatives that would force the chamber into a new vote on Obamacare, even if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi doesn't want it, is halfway toward its needed support.

Advocates say constituents need to call their representatives to tell them to get on board right away so that the petition is positioned to move forward whether or not the GOP becomes the majority in the House after the 2010 fall elections.

The plan is a discharge petition pushed by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.

"Pursuant to clause 2 of rule XV, I, Steve King of Iowa, move to discharge the Committees on Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, Education and Labor, the Judiciary, Natural Resources, Rules, House Administration and Appropriations from the consideration of the bill (H.R. 4972) to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which was referred to said committees on March 25, 2010, in support of which motion the undersigned Members of the House of Representatives affix their signatures. …"

Angry White Men

Our national poll this month found that the net approval of Congressional Democrats (-24 at 33/57) was 16 points better than that of Congressional Republicans (-40 at 20/60). Yet when it came to the generic ballot there was a tie.

The reason for that disconnect is that Republicans are cleaning up with a voting bloc that accounts for 26% of the country and could end up being the most important group of people at the polls this fall: voters who hate both Congressional Democrats and Congressional Republicans. The GOP has a 57-19 generic lead with this group of voters that could perhaps be described as the angriest segment of the electorate. Their support is fueling the GOP's success right now.

Who are these folks? 44% are Republicans, 34% are independents, and 21% are Democrats. They're largely male (60%) and white (82%). I think it's very accurate to say that angry white males are the key to GOP prospects this fall.
One interesting thing about these folks is that only 35% of them identify as Tea Partiers. While that's certainly higher than the 25% of the population as a whole that does I might have expected higher.

Obama team's panic over losing whites

On Monday, the Department of Agriculture demanded the resignation of Shirley Sherrod over a two-minute videotape where she appeared to describe to a cheering crowd of the Georgia NAACP how she denied assistance to a poor white farmer about to lose his land.
Declaring itself "appalled" at this "shameful" act of racism, the NAACP said it would investigate the Georgia crowd that cheered her and praised the Department of Agriculture for firing her.
On Wednesday, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack was begging for Sherrod'sforgiveness, and the NAACP was burbling apologies.
For the video turned out to be an excerpt from a speech in which Sherrod described her growth from a bitter black woman whose father was murdered by a white man into one who found joy helping poor white folks keep their farms.

What was it that caused the rush to judgment by Vilsack, the NAACP and a White House that supported the ouster of Sherrod without talking to her or viewing the full tape?
Panic. The White House fears it is losing white America because of a false perception that it harbors a bias against white America.
Outrageous, rail those journalists who celebrated the NAACP's accusation that the tea party is harboring racists and is too cowardly to confront them.

Yet, as things perceived as real are real in their consequences, if the White House does not eradicate this perception, its lease may not be renewed. Whence comes that perception? Several incidents.
First was the startling accusation by Attorney General Eric Holder, days after Barack Obama was inaugurated in a gusher of good feeling, that we are all "a nation of cowards" when it comes to facing issues of race.

A real icebreaker for a national conversation.
Second was the instantaneous verdict of the president, when asked about the arrest of Harvard's Henry Louis Gates by Cambridge cop Sgt. James Crowley. With no knowledge of what happened, Obama blurted out that the cops had "acted stupidly."

It took a White House beer summit to detoxify that one.
A third was the revelation that Obama's first Supreme Court nominee, Judge Sonia Sotomayor, the "wise Latina" herself, had gone to extremes to see that the case of Frank Ricci and the New Haven, Conn., firefighters never got to the Supreme Court. Ricci and co-defendants had been denied promotions they had won in competitive exams solely because they were white and no black firemen had done as well.
The fourth was the Justice Department's dropping of charges against members of the New Black Panther Party, whose intimidation of voters in Philadelphia had been captured on tape.

When a department official resigned in protest and went to the Civil Rights Commission to accuse officials at Justice of ordering staff attorneys not to pursue such cases, that explosive charge, too, was ignored by Justice.
Came then the NAACP smear that the tea party was harboring racists, which Joe Biden explicitly rejected on national television on Sunday, before the Monday firestorm over Sherrod.
Now, whatever one's views on each of these episodes in which race played a role, white Americans are being forced to address them. And, surely, the White House understands this is bad news for Obama and the Democratic Party.

Rangel charged with multiple ethics violations
New York Democrat gave up Ways and Means gavel in February

A House investigative committee on Thursday charged New York Rep. Charles Rangel with multiple ethics violations, a blow to the former Ways and Means chairman and an election-year headache for Democrats.

The committee did not immediately specify the charges against the Democrat, who has served in the House for some 40 years and is fourth in House seniority.
The charges by a four-member panel of the House ethics committee sends the case to a House trial, where a separate eight-member panel of Republicans and Democrats will decide whether the violations can be proved by clear and convincing evidence.

The timing of the announcement ensures that it will stretch into the fall campaign, and Republicans are certain to make it an issue as they try to capture majority control of the House. Speaker Nancy Pelosi had once promised to "drain the swamp" of ethical misdeeds by lawmakers in arguing that Democrats should be in charge.

Race Played Role in Obama Car Dealer Closures
The Obama administration, already under fire for unprecedented allegations of racial bias, faces a new bias claim from a most unlikely source: one of the administration’s own inspectors general. Decisions on which car dealerships to close as part of the auto industry bailout—closures the Obama administration forced on General Motors and Chrysler—were based in part on race and gender, according to a report by Troubled Asset Relief Program Special Inspector General Neal M. Barofsky. “[D]ealerships were retained because they were recently appointed, were key wholesale parts dealers, or were minority- or woman-owned dealerships.” [Emphasis added.]

Thus, to meet numbers forced on them by the Obama administration, General Motors and Chrysler were forced to shutter other, potentially more viable, dealerships. The livelihood of potentially tens of thousands of families was thus eliminated simply because their dealerships were not minority- or woman-owned.

As has been widely reported, the Inspector General’s study skewered the Obama Gang for strong-arming the companies into closing 2,000 dealerships, costing an estimated 100,000 people their jobs during a recession. But the news media has ignored key elements of Barofsky’s report—elements that are far more damaging, if possible, to Obama.

As we reported earlier in the week, a top Obama official, manufacturing czar and “Auto Team” leader Ron Bloom admitted that the dealerships could have been kept open, saving those jobs, “but that doing so would have been inconsistent with the President’s mandate for ‘shared sacrifice.’”

Barofsky says the administration insisted on the closings even though a GM official told him “that GM would usually save ‘not one damn cent’ by closing any particular dealership. . . . Furthermore, a GM official stated that removing a dealership from the network does not save money for GM—it might even cost GM money—and that savings cannot be attributed or assigned to any one dealership.” ..............more

Bobcats' Stephen Jackson's home robbed; wife held at gunpoint
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV & AP) - Police are investigating a home invasion and armed robbery which occurred at the home of Bobcats player Stephen Jackson in south Charlotte on Wednesday. Three masked gunman entered Jackson's home on Leamington Lane which is in the Dovewood Neighborhood, a gated community of million-dollar homes. The home invasion occurred around 2:45 a.m., according to the police report. Police say the thieves took a 9mm pistol, stun gun, cuff links, ruby-encrusted wristwatch, Louis Vuitton wallet, credit cards, Cannon camera and other items. Jackson was in Texas for a basketball camp. His 30-year-old wife was home and she was forced at gunpoint into a bathroom, where police found her. She wasn't hurt. Police say there were no signs of forced entry at the 6,000-square-foot home. No arrests have been made.

Gee, Thanks! China-Based Outsourcer Lowers Minimum IQ Requirement for Americans
A China-based outsourcing company called Bleum requires that all job applicants for computer science positions have a minimum IQ of 140.

Bleum recently announced that it will hire Americans who are willing to move to China—but, according to Bleum, it couldn’t find enough Americans that met its minimum requirements for intelligence. Bleum decided to lower its minimum IQ to 125 to compensate for the weak talent pool in the United States: "An IQ test is the first screen for any US or Chinese applicant.

“The lower IQ threshold for new US graduates reflects the fact that the pool of US talent available to the company is smaller than the pool of Chinese talent, Bleum said."

In April, '96, a General Accounting Office audit showed that the 14 overseas trips Energy Secretary Hazel O'Leary took in 1994 and 1995 netted only about $448 million worth of business -- not the $2 billion her administration claimed -- and that some of the deals concluded on the trips benefitted foreign firms more than U.S. companies. An Energy Department inspector general report stated that part of the $4.6 million Secretary Hazel O'Leary spent on overseas trips may have been spent illegally.

" Henry Cisneros, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development became the second Clinton administration official to be indicted.

The Justice Department probe began on Sept. 22, 1994, it's investigating whether Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros lied to the FBI about payments he made to his former mistress, Linda Jones. In March '95 Attorney General Janet Reno concluded HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros made yearly payments to Jones of between $42,000 and $60,000-contradicting Cisneros' claim to the FBI that his yearly payments totaled no more than $10,000. In May 1995, an independent counsel was named to investigate if the lies HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros told to the FBI constitute a felony.

On Dec. 11, 1997 a federal grand jury in Washington handed down a 21-count indictment, charging Cisneros and Jones variously with conspiracy, obstruction of justice, fraud and perjury. Evidence including 40 hours of secretly recorded telephone calls, IRS records and canceled checks suggests to prosecutors that Cisneros committed perjury and conspired with his ex-mistress and others to lie about the hush money. Those records indicate Cisneros paid Jones about $250,000 and continued to pay her after he came to Washington, including payments totaling some $40,000 prior to his interview with the FBI.
" Former Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy was indicted on charges he accepted illegal gifts and lied to investigators. In August, 1994 Attorney General Janet Reno asked for an independent counsel to investigate Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy for accepting gifts from companies regulated by his department. On Oct. 3, 1994, Mike Espy resigns amid charges he accepted gifts and perks barred by federal ethics laws and rules. In Dec. 1997, Tyson Foods Inc., the nation's largest poultry processor, pleaded guilty to giving former U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy more than $12,000 in illegal gifts, and agreed to pay $6 million in fines and investigative expenses.

Ultimately, Independent Counsel Smaltz s investigation of Agriculture Secretary Espy, has resulted in 14 indictments yielding 2 convictions, 3 guilty pleas, 4 acquittals, 3 companies paying enormous fines, and 3 defendants awaiting trial or retrial.
" In the tenth major probe into high level Clinton appointees, the Justice Department has opened an investigation into whether or not Labor Secretary Alexis Herman was involved in a scheme of influence peddling during '94-'96 when she was a White House aide. The seventh independent counsel of the Clinton era will investigate influence peddling and corrupt campaign fundraising allegations against Labor Secretary Alexis Herman. In response to these allegations, President Clinton remarked, "I don t believe that for a minute."
" Under investigation for overbilling clients, mail fraud and tax evasion, Associate Attorney General Webster Hubbell resigned on March 14, 1994. On Dec. 6, '94 Hubbell pleads guilty and on Aug. 7, 1995 he began serving 21-month sentence for defrauding the federal government and tax evasion. A June 24, 1997 Los Angeles Times story revealed a City of Los Angeles audit found Webster Hubbell cheated Los Angeles out of almost $25,000 by lying about the consulting work he did for them.
" The Justice Department began investigating Commerce Secretary Ron Brown on Feb. 19, 1995 for violation of tax and financial disclosure laws and whether he took money from people seeking to influence him. Apparently, he took bribes from almost everybody saying it is part of the way Washington works. Ron Brown was still under investigation by an Independent Counsel when he died mysteriously in a plane crash in 1996. Huang aggressively argued for a new U.S. trade policy toward Vietnam only one day after joining the Commerce Department in July 1994, and pushed the issue for 17 months while the Lippo Group sought to expand its business in Vietnam. " While still at the Commerce Department, Huang traveled coast to coast to raise money for the Democrat Party and brought in more than $150,000 in donations before he formally left his senior Commerce Department post, according to records obtained by House investigators. " John Huang expressed a particular interest in gathering secret intelligence about China, according to testimony by a CIA officer who briefed Huang 37 times. His testimony was taken as part of a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch on whether Democratic donors were rewarded with trips on trade missions. EPA Administrator Carol Browner used the EPA to campaign against Republicans running on the Contract with America, an illegal use of the executive branch for political campaigning.
" A bipartisan letter from the House Government Reform and Oversight Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs on March 21, 1995, charges the Environmental Protection Agency and its administrator, Carol M. Browner, with violating the federal Anti-Lobbying Act by faxing unsolicited material opposing the Republican-sponsored regulatory reform package to various corporations and public-interest groups. Senior Advisor, Bruce Lensey, as treasurer for the Clinton gubernatorial campaign in 1990, signed withdrawals from Perry County Bank, the president of which has pled guilty to conspiring to conceal these withdrawals from the IRS and FEC.

TravelGate
William Kennedy, David Watkins, and Patsy Thomasson was accussed of fabricating charges against White House Travel Office personnel to have the business taken over by Clinton friends. They coerced FBI and IRS agents into complicity with this scheme. Kennedy and Watkins have resigned. Travel Office employee, Catherine Cornelius removed documents from White House Travel Office. Because those documents later became the subject of a trial against Office Director Billy Dale, that could amount to obstruction of justice.

Filegate
On June 6, 1996, The Los Angeles Times reported that the White House sought confidential FBI background documents on fired White House Travel Office chief Billy Dale. The next day, the White House admits it ordered FBI files of more than 330 people, including dozens of Republican leaders, saying it was working off an "outdated list" of people who had applied for access to the White House. Eventually it is discovered that about 1,000 people's FBI files were obtained by Clinton officials.
One of those people whose FBI file was obtained by the White House was Linda Tripp, who blazed onto the national scene when she released to Independent Council, Ken Starr, secretly taped conversations she had with Monica Lewinsky about the sexual conduct of the President. Tripp's connection to FBI files also include her witnessing fellow employees copying FBI files onto White House computers when she worked in the Clinton White House. (The Washington Times, 9/4/98) Tripp is also at the center of conspiracy theories involving Vince Foster's suicide. Tripp had worked in the early Clinton administration in 1992 as executive assistant to Bernie Nussbaum, then the White House counsel. Tripp first surfaced in the original report on Foster's death by former independent counsel Robert Fiske. Fiske said in his report, that Tripp was the last person to speak to Foster before he committed suicide. It was also Tripp who provided testimony on what happened inside Foster's office after word of his death surfaced, again leading to questions of impropriety.

Tripp also is the original source of information regarding Kathryn Willey's reported claim that Clinton had kissed and fondled her, claiming to be the first person to talk to Willey after she left the Oval Office.
" On the 9th, White House Chief of Staff Leon Panetta offers a public apology for the White House's obtaining the FBI files: "Mistakes were made. It is inexcusable."
" President Clinton later offered a direct apology and calls the FBI files controversy a "completely honest bureaucratic snafu."
" FBI Director Louis Freeh said on June 14, that he and his agency were "victimized." He also says that the White House acquisition of the files represented "egregious violations of privacy."
" The Washington Post reports on the 16th, Secret Service officials say the tracking system they used for White House passholders could not have generated the supposedly outdated list that the White House claimed it used to request FBI files on the now more than 400 former passholders.
" White House places personnel security office director Craig Livingstone, directly responsible for obtaining the FBI files, on administrative leave.
" House Government Reform and Oversight Committee begins hearings on FBI file affair on June 19th. Livingstone tells officials that the office holding the files was often left unsecured and that people with the lowest level security clearance were allowed access to the room. ABC News reports that Livingstone himself did not get proper security clearance until more than a year after he began his job as head of security.
" Attorney General Janet Reno calls on FBI to expand its probe to determine how and why White House obtained files on former Reagan and Bush administration staff members - later she reverses her earlier call for the FBI to lead the inquiry, and announces that Whitewater independent counsel Kenneth Starr should investigate how the White House acquired the FBI files in an improper manner.
" New documents on June 25th, show that a total of more than 700 FBI background files were improperly obtained by the White House.
" Craig Livingstone resigns from the White House staff on June 26th.
" Anthony Marceca informs the Senate Judiciary Committee on June 28th, that he is taking the Fifth Amendment and will not answer any more questions concerning the White House acquisition of FBI background files.
" The diaries of the Dick Morris' call girl, Sherry Rowlands, noted that Mr Morris described Mrs Clinton as the prime mover in the scandal when confidential FBI personnel files on leading Republicans were taken to the White House and scrutinised by political fixers. "It was Hillary," Mr Morris replied when Miss Rowlands asked who was to blame for the scandal. "She ordered them. She's a paranoid lady; she did it." Analysis: Race Issues Beset Obama’s “Post-Racial” Presidency

Many supporters of Barack Obama hoped his election as America’s first black president might herald an era of post-racial politics, but race has been an issue his administration just can’t seem to avoid. Division and tension between black and white Americans has cropped up repeatedly over Obama’s 18 months in office, hurting his popularity and distracting from his political agenda. The issue surfaced this week when the Agriculture Department pushed a black official to resign after allegations she discriminated against a white farmer, only to apologize a day later for acting too quickly and without the facts. {snip} Last July—in the heat of the White House fight for its healthcare overhaul—when Obama was subjected to scathing criticism for saying police had “acted stupidly” when they arrested Harvard University scholar Henry Louis Gates, who is black, on charges he was breaking into his own home. More recently, the Justice Department dismissed voter intimidation charges against the New Black Panther Party, prompting criticism from conservative groups who said the black president was unwilling to prosecute fellow blacks for civil rights violations. ....more

How to be a Good Communist -

"Nelson Mandela is a symbol, an icon, one of the world's most famous statesmen, recognised and revered by all. He dines with royalty, associates with the world's great leaders and his opinion is sought and valued on all weighty matters. He has achieved an almost divine status in the world, equal to that of the Pope or the late Princess Diana."

Most people on the left of the political spectrum would agree wholeheartedly with the above quote. But they run into an unexpected problem when someone asks "why is he considered such a great statesman?"

The problem is that Mandela, apart from having a likeable personality, has achieved next to nothing in his relatively short political career which saw South Africa rapidly decline to the status of the world's most violent and crime-ridden country, and, to add to the confusion, his greatest friends are communists and dictators like Fidel Castro, Moammar Qaddafi, Yasser Arafat and Saddam Hussein. His ex-wife Winnie Mandela, whom he quickly jettisoned when it became clear she was a considerable embarassment to his political career, is a self-confessed advocate of terrorism and violence and has even committed murder.

In his public statements and speeches Mandela is always critical of the democratic countries of the west, but has nothing but praise for the remaining communist dictatorships of the world. He condemns mistakes and controversial policies of the west, but refuses to publicly condemn the genocides and brutal repression of current or former communist countries; he is supposedly a "champion of freedom and democracy", the "hero of oppressed people everywhere" but considers dictatorships like Cuba and Libya shining beacons of freedom and justice...
Many of his apologists optimistically claim that Mandela may well have had "communist leanings" in his past, but that he has since put all that behind him and become a moderate in his political beliefs. They are perhaps unaware of his fulsome praise of a communist dictatorship as late as 1991 when he and Winnie went to what they called their "second home" - Cuba - to celebrate the communist revolution with Fidel Castro. In his speech Mandela said:

"Long live the Cuban Revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro... Cuban internationalists have done so much for African independence, freedom, and justice. We admire the sacrifices of the Cuban people in maintaining their independence and sovereignty in the face of a vicious imperialist campaign designed to destroy the advances of the Cuban revolution. We too want to control our destiny... There can be no surrender. It is a case of freedom or death. The Cuban revolution has been a source of inspiration to all freedom-loving people." Mandela's adulation of Castro and Cuba almost outshines that of his own admirers. In May of 1990 Mandela, visiting America, went on record, referring to Cuba:

There's one thing where that country stands out head and shoulders above the rest. That is in its love for human rights and liberty.
A week later in Libya, he lauded Qaddafi's:
Our DOJis winking and saying, "Don't worry, we're not going to persecute," while they're tying the hands of our cops

Convicted felon Byron Williams loaded up his mothers Toyota Tundra with guns, strapped on his body armor and headed to San Francisco late Saturday night with one thing in mind: to kill workers at the American Civil Liberties Union and an environmental foundation, prosecutors say.

Williams, an anti-government zealot on parole for bank robbery, had hoped to start a revolution with the bloodshed at the ACLU and the Tides Foundation in San Francisco, authorities said.

But before he made it to the city, Williams was stopped at early Sunday by California Highway Patrol officers for speeding and driving erratically on westbound Interstate 580 west of Grand Avenue in Oakland.

Police say he then initiated a chaotic, 12-minute gunbattle with officers, firing a 9mm handgun, a .308-caliber rifle and a shotgun. He reloaded his weapons when he ran out of ammunition and stopped only after officers shot him in areas of his body not covered by his bullet-resistant vest, authorities said.

The unity on display, says McKinley, was nothing short of master political management. The reality in South Africa reflects a disparate society whose splinters from apartheid remain thanks to a political philosophy built on the idealism of financier turned philanthropist George Soros.
Leaving aside the much-publicized attacks on the media, NGO's and rival political organizations contained in the first half of Mandela's report, it is these more philosophical matters that are of central concern. Thus, reading through the report, Congress delegates must have been a bit surprised to find out that it is the views of capitalist financial speculator extraordinaire, George Soros, that now provide philosophical and ideological sustenance to the historic mission of the ANC. Arguing for the need to create a "system according to which the owners of capital would, willingly, understand and accept the idea that business success can no longer be measured solely by reference to profit" Mandela quotes Soros, at length, on "what is to be done":

As if that were not enough, Mandela proceeded to inform delegates - and an audience of millions more - that Soros' perspectives (including his criticism of the fact that "people increasingly rely on money as the criterion of value"!) were just what was needed for the "moral renewal of our country" and for reaching "our objective of creating a people-centred, humane and caring society." Taking at face value what, in the context of Soros' original writings, is merely a flabby, charity-inflected rationalization for capitalism, Mandela summed up this newly discovered philosophical foundation-stone by throwing out the following challenge to the ANC:

As hard as it might be to take seriously the hypocritical philosophizing of a man (Soros) who almost single-handedly ruined the lives of millions of workers in Asia in a frenzy of speculative profiteering, the important point is that the ANC leadership does so. The reason is simply because this leadership views the ANC's mission of carrying out the oft-mentioned "national democratic revolution" as theoretically and practically consistent with capitalism (albeit a capitalism that is at once deracialized and "more humane"). All the debates at Mafikeng, however genuine the intentions of the debaters might have been, were fundamentally concerned with the specifics of how the organization will proceed within this strategic framework. To reiterate: the "success" of the 50th Congress lies precisely in the leadership's ability to politically manage the contradictions inherent in such an undertaking......more

Black Panther, Whom the Government Refused to Prosecute, Calls for the Death of “Cracker” Babies

The New Black Panther, King Samir Shabazz, at the center of the firestorm over a polling intimidation case has been caught on tape calling for Black Americans to kill “Cracker babies.”

The Obama government refused to prosecute a case involving Mr. Shabazz over an incident of polling intimidation during the 2008 Presidential election. The incident, which included Mr. Shabazz telling “crackers” that they were about to be “ruled by the black man”, was caught on tape. Mr. Shabazz is seen in the video holding a baton and telling a reporter that he was working as poll “security.” In the end the government dropped all charges and secured an agreement with Mr. Shabazz that dictated that he wouldn’t carry a weapon near a polling place until 2012.

In the video below viewers will see Mr. Shabazz tell a crowd that he hates White people and that African-Americans need to “kill some or their babies.”

'Glenn Beck': Radicals With Disturbing Agenda Against White People

SHABAZZ: No context. Just for the sake of this interview, no, context, sir. I don't believe, there are too many other white forces out here that are much more powerful than the eyes of man would focus on. I wouldn't focus on the babies. I'd focus on the police.

GLENN BECK, HOST:
This is the New Black Panther leader, Malik Shabazz, attempting to explain King Shamir's comments that black people should kill all white people and their cracker babies.
He just said, for this sake of this interview, no, it's not OK to kill babies.Very clever of Mr. Shabazz, but I — I mean, I think that legal tiptoeing — well, it's probably enough for Eric Holder but not enough for most human beings.

But did you notice a more important target? And it was the cops. Some will say that this is just a crazy guy. He's just a Black Panther. They're irrelevant.
Well, no more irrelevant than Mel Gibson. I wish they were right. But this thought that the police are white and the man are the oppressor is hardly unique to the Panthers or to African-Americans. It's from all walks of life. Let me start with Van Jones. He expressed his views on the police when he said, quote, "Most of the people who die in police custody do not die from drugs or some mysterious syndrome but from police abuse." This is a guy who is an activist, who started Bay Area Police Watch.

What is Bay Area Police Watch? They're supporters of the cold-blooded cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, who shot a cop point-blank. By the way, Mumia Abu-Jamal — radically anti-American and a communist.
Then there is Jeff Jones. This guy is actually working with the New York state government trying to figure out how to spend your tax dollars with the Apollo Alliance. He was also a founding member of the Weather Underground.
He offered this viewpoint on cops: "The point of action was that if they're going to continue to attack the Vietnamese and to kill the Black Panthers, then we as young white people are going to attack them behind the lines. That's why we smashed up people's private property and fought the cops."

Bill Ayers, who saw no remorse for his actions — and remember actions speak louder than words — the Weather Underground bombed New York City police headquarters in '70, U.S. Capitol building in '71, the Pentagon in '72, police cars in May of 1973.

And in '74, the Weather Underground wrote about what needed to be done, quote, "We have an urgent responsibility to destroy imperialism from within in order to help free the world and ourselves from its grasp. Without underestimating the difficulties, this is our position of strength. We all will use the weapons available to us." Then I want to show you this clip. I’m beginning to think so but then, I’m just a “cracker” so what do I know?
Thomas Jefferson said ” . . . there is no act, however virtuous, for which ingenuity may not find some bad motive.” I believe this also applies to organizations as well.

The NAACP was founded to, according to their charter adopted in 1911, in part, “…promote equality of rights and to eradicate caste or race prejudice among the citizens of the United States…”. I can only assume that “among the citizens of the United States” meant ALL of it’s citizens.

It seems now, though, that it really doesn’t apply to all citizens. The unfounded accusations of racism and outright lies by Ben Jealous and the adoption of the “resolution” by the NAACP condemning what it calls “racist elements” within the Tea Party suggests that it doesn’t apply to all citizens.

Considering such famous race baiters as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who jump on any perceived slight to cry racism and in some cases manufacture incidents designed to inflame and incite racial tension, are revered as “leaders” we can now add to that list, Mr. Jealous (appropriate?) By not denouncing the statements of groups such as “The New Black Panthers” to “kill cracker babies” or intimidating voters, the notion to “eradicate caste or race prejudice” rings hollow.

Mark Williams, the flamethrower leading the battle against the Ground Zero mosque, was kicked out of the National Tea Party Federation Saturday for a racist blog post.
He shrugged off the diss, calling it "grandstanding" from a "minor player on the fringe."

A California radio host and leader of the Tea Party Express, Williams had labeled the Manhattan boro president a "Jewish Uncle Tom" and President Obama an "Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug." But when he posted a satirical letter supposedly from "the Colored People" to President Lincoln praising slavery, that apparently crossed the line.
The federation, an umbrella organization that claims to represent 85 Tea Party groups, kicked out Williams' group when it wouldn't fire him.
"We have expelled Tea Party Express and Mark Williams from the National Tea Party Federation because of the letter that he wrote," federation spokesman David Webb said on CBS's "Face the Nation."
He called the letter - written after the NAACP called on Tea Party leaders to oust racists from their ranks - "clearly offensive."
In the voice of slaves, Williams wrote: "Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house.

"We Coloreds have taken a vote and decided that we don't cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!"
He went on to say blacks don't want taxes cut because "how will we Colored People ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn?"
In a press release, the National Tea Party Federation says it ordered the Tea Party Express to kick Williams out and say so "prominently" on their Website. They did not. Williams' response: who's the National Tea Party Federation anyway?
"There are internal political dramas amongst the various self-anointed tea party 'leaders' and some of the minor players on the fringes see the Tea Party Express and Mark Williams as tickets to a booking on Face the Nation," he said.
"There is no tea party leadership; every tea partier is a tea party leader."
The federation says it represents more than a million activists in 85 groups.

Williams' Tea Party Express is one of the most influential in the conservative movement. It has reportedly raised $2.3 million this year, helped elect Sen. Scott Brown in Massachusetts and organized a rally in Nevada that featured a rare Sarah Palin speech.

Williams stepped down as chairman last month to concentrate on leading the fight against the proposed Lower Manhattan mosque, which he called a monument to the 9/11 attackers to "worship the terrorists' monkey-god."

This disagreement is, to use Thomas Sowell’s words, an unbridgeable conflict of visions: the Tea Party’s agenda, even stripped of any racial component, contravenes the NAACP’s raison d’être, so when the NAACP complains about insensitivities, it is just saying, “You intend to destroy us.” Begin by recognizing that the post-1960s civil rights agenda has been the single most powerful force in expanding Washington power. Nothing comes even remotely close. During WWII, Washington set prices, rationed consumer goods, and limited business profits, but this infringement was correctly understood as temporary and was universally welcomed as vital to national survival (and it was soon ended). Neither the environmental movement nor consumer protection legislation has penetrated so deeply into the everyday life of Americans.

Documenting this expansion is endless. In education, for example, the push to integrate America’s schools has affected the lives of millions, especially those who fled cities to avoid forced busing, while judicial degrees have shaped everything from tax rates to the racial composition of school staffs. Urban demographics were radically altered by forced integration, and this remains true today.
The 1964 Civil Rights Act brought federal intervention into local restaurants and movie houses and even constrained people’s ability to choose their neighbors.

The 1965 Voting Rights Act and subsequent extensions now make every city and town in America vulnerable to Justice Department oversight if their election system slights minority representation. Employment-based affirmative action has exploded from a narrow presidential directive targeting federal government contractors to a bureaucratic colossus.
There is scarcely a person alive, from professors to blue-collar cops and firefighters, whose life-chances have not been shaped by government race policy. There is no escape—those in rural Idaho seeking a mortgage will probably experience the repercussions of the government’s push to promote home ownership among blacks and Hispanics. Yet, thousands of civil rights successes aside, the political appetites of groups like the NAACP seem insatiable.

It is no exaggeration to say that they believe that government is sufficiently powerful, if only vigorously prodded, to level outcomes across nearly all of human existence.

Three separate shootings left 10 people wounded and scattered hundreds in downtown Indianapolis during the crowded Indiana Black Expo, police said early Sunday.
Police spokesman Lt. Jeff Duhamell said authorities made no immediate arrests directly tied to the shootings and investigators were seeking leads to the suspects.
None of the victims' injuries were life-threatening, Duhamell told The Associated Press, adding police had made three unrelated arrests on weapons charges.
The shooting began when several shots rang out around 9:30 p.m. Saturday near Circle Centre mall, leaving eight people wounded and sending people running, Duhamell said.
He said a second shooting occurred nearby just minutes after the initial shooting and left one young man wounded. He added that the third shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. and left another man wounded.
Duhamell said the shooting victims were all males between 10 and 18 years old. He said most were taken to two area hospitals where they were in good condition early Sunday. One person was treated at the scene. Authorities say none of the shootings occurred at venues playing host to Black Expo activities, but police patrolling amid the crowd moving about the downtown area quickly converged on the scene.

Suspected drug hitmen kill 17 at party in Mexico
MEXICO CITY — Suspected drug hitmen stormed a private party and killed 17 people in the northern Mexican city of Torreon Sunday in one of the deadliest attacks in Mexico's drug war, police said. Gunmen in five SUVs drove up to the party in a walled patio and garden on the outskirts of the city in Coahuila state across from Texas, smashed down the door and opened fire on party-goers at about 1 a.m, Coahuila's prosecutor's office said.

"They came in, opened fire and shot against everything that moved," said an official at the prosecutor's office who declined to be identified. Photos showed blood-stained floor tiles, overturned chairs and musical instruments by a beer tent abandoned as people fled.
The prosecutor's office said in a statement 18 people were injured in the attack and taken to hospitals. The party garden was strewn with more than 100 bullet casings. The assailants escaped after the attack and no arrests have been made, the statement said.

State worker implicated in creating illegal immigrant list identified

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Attorney General's Office is investigating two state workers who allegedly compiled a list of 1,300 Utahns purportedly in the country illegally.
One of them is Teresa Bassett, 58, an employee in the state Department of Workforce Services, a government source confirmed Thursday. Bassett, who state officials say is being fired, worked in eligibility services in the Salt Lake Valley. Another woman who worked in that area as a temporary employee has been fired.

Reached by the Deseret News at a home in Cache County Thursday, Bassett said she did not want to talk.
Prior to working at Workforce Services, Bassett worked in information technology for the state Department of Corrections.

— When the managers from the federal Fish and Wildlife Service talk about this 2,800-acre preserve of moss-draped cypress, palmetto and marsh, they speak of endangered wood stork rookeries and disappearing marsh habitat, dike maintenance and interpretive kiosks.
But when the members of the Harris Neck Land Trust talk about it, they speak of injustice, racism and a place they used to call home.
In 1942, Harris Neck, a thriving community of black landowners who hunted, farmed and gathered oysters, was taken by the federal government to build an airstrip.
Now, the elders — who remember barefoot childhoods spent climbing trees and waking to watch the Canada geese depart in formation — want to know why they cannot have it back.

The Harris Neck Land Trust, formed by the former residents, their descendants and a handful of white families who owned land but did not live on Harris Neck, is asking Congress to return the land. The Fish and Wildlife Service maintains that the land is a crucial part of the national refuge system.

A Windsor Mill man was fatally shot early Thursday by Baltimore County police after a counterfeiting investigation led to a gunfight outside a Pikesville hotel, according to authorities.

Police suspected that three men were running a counterfeit money operation from room 240 in a Ramada Inn in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road, and had been monitoring the hotel. At about midnight, the suspects tried to flee the room as police closed in, according to Lt. Robert McCullough, a department spokesman.

Two detectives tried to arrest the three as they ran away, he said, and one of the men pulled out a gun and fired at the detectives.

If the so-called Many Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics is correct, there's at least one universe in which you did, one in which you didn't, and universes for everything in between. Physicist Hugh Everett III was just 27 years old when he introduced this interpretation—also known as the theory of parallel worlds—in the published version of his 1957 doctoral thesis. According to Everett's theory, every event that could occur in a number of ways, even something as simple as how you decided to respond to the above request, triggers a split that generates multiple universes, which collectively contain every possible outcome. As discussed last month, ozone (O3) is bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal. The head is a breeding ground for all of these. Thus O3 would be a wonderful adjunct to our arsenal of treatments.

This from and ignorant doctor, I say this until I ask him a few question about his field of medicine:: I agree with almost everything in your post. For instance,
(1) no "extra" precautions are warranted or necessary when treating HIV-positive dental patients and
(2) no "extra" sterilization procedures are warranted or necessary for dental tools used to treat HIV-positive patients.
However, the one statement I would have you reconsider is:
"I would just as soon treat my patients as if they are healthy."
Actually what you and all health care professionals must be cognizant of is that "universal precautions" are "universal" because we really have no idea if even our "healthy" patients may be harboring a bloodborne pathogen or not.
That's the reason your Ivy League dental school does indeed "know what they are doing" by instituting appropriate "universal precautions" for all patients, regardless of their known or assumed HIV status.
You should also realize HIV is not the only bloodborne germ we need to be aware of. Hepatitis, for instance, is also a growing problem. Once again, "universal precautions" are your key to staying healthy while providing equal treatment for all patients. Competence combined with compassion will earn you both the respect and admiration you desire and deserve.

"Other Potentially Infectious Materials" means:
(1)..... Since one of the pioneers in ozone therapy was a dentist, it is important to mention that ozone has an important place in dental practice as well. According to the German dentist Fritz Kramer, ozone, such as in the form of ozonated water, can be used in the following ways:
1.......As a powerful disinfectant.

2......In its ability to control bleeding.

3.......In its ability to cleanse wounds in bones and soft tissue

4.......By improving the local supply of oxygen to the wound area, ozone can improve healing.

1.Direct Intra-arterial and intravenous application
An ozone/oxygen mixture is slowly injected into an artery or vein with a hypodermic syringe. This method is used primarily for arterial circulatory disorders. According to Gerard V. Sunnen, M.D., "Due to accidents produced by too rapid introduction of the gas mixture into the circulation, this technique is now rarely used". technique is now rarely used".

2.Rectal insufflation
First pioneered by Payr and Aubourg in the 1930's, a mixture of ozone and oxygen is introduced through the rectum and absorbed into the body through the intestine. Used for a wide variety of health problems, this method is considered one of the safest. In a typical treatment for ulcerative colitis, for example, 75 micrograms of ozone per milliliter of oxygen are used (treatment begins with 50ml of oxygen which can be increased slowly to 500 ml per treatment) While administered under medical supervision in Germany, Russia and Cuba, a growing number of private individuals in the United States use this method for self-treatment for cancer, HIV-related problems and other diseases.

3.Intramuscular injection
A small amount of an ozone and oxygen mixture (up to 10 ml) are injected into the patient (usually in the buttocks) like a normal injection would be. This method is commonly used to treat allergies and inflammatory diseases. Intramuscular injections are sometimes utilized as an adjunct to cancer therapies in Europe.

4.Major and minor autohemotherapy
Used since the 1960's, minor autohemotherapy involves removing a small amount (usually 10 ml) of the patient's blood from a vein with a hypodermic syringe. The blood is then treated with ozone and oxygen, and given back to the patient with an intramuscular injection. Thus the blood and ozone becomes a type of auto-vaccine given to the patient that is derived from their own cells, thus forming a unique vaccine that can be very specific and effective in treating the patient's health problem. Major autohemotherapy calls for the removal of between 50-100 ml of the patient's blood. Ozone and oxygen are then bubbled into the blood for several minutes, and then the ozonated blood is re- introduced into a vein. These methods have been used successfully to treat a wide variety of health problems, including herpes, arthritis, cancer, heart disease and HIV-infection. It is probably the most commonly-used type of ozone therapy today.

5.Ozonated water
This method calls for ozone gas to be bubbled through water, and the water is used externally to bathe wounds, burns and slow- healing skin infections. It is also used as a disinfectant by dentists who perform dental surgery. In Russia, physicians are using ozonated water to irrigate body cavities during surgery. In both Russia and Cuba, ozonated water is used to treat a wide variety of intestinal and gynecological problems, including ulcerative colitis, duodenal ulcers, gastritis, diarrhea and vulvovaginitis.17

6.Intra-articular injection
In this method, ozone gas is bubbled through water and the mixture is injected directly between the joints. It is used primarily by physicians in Germany, Russia and Cuba to treat arthritis, rheumatism and other joint diseases.

7.Ozone bagging
This non-invasive method uses a specially-made plastic bag that is placed around the area to be treated. An ozone/oxygen mixture is pumped into the bag and the mixture is absorbed into the body through the skin. Ozone bagging is primarily recommended for treating leg ulcers, gangrene, fungal infections, burns and slow- healing wounds. Ozone in a "sauna bag" (which leaves the head uncovered) is now being used to treat more generalized health problems, such as HIV- infection. Typically the patient would take a arm shower and get into the bag. Pure oxygen mixed with small amounts of ozone are then pumped into the bag for a period of twenty to thirty minutes, making contact with all skin surfaces. The skin absorbs the ozone. According to Dr. Sunnen: "Surprisingly, the mixture is able to penetrate far enough into the capillary networks to raise blood oxygen pressure. Presumably then, ozone is able to exert its biochemical influence."18

8.Ozonated oil
Used primarily to treat skin problems, ozone gas is added to olive oil and applied as a balm or salve for long-term, low-dose exposure. Other bases (such as sunflower oil) for salves and creams have been developed in Cuba and are applied externally to treat a wide variety of problems including fungal infections (including athlete's foot), fistulae, leg ulcers, bed sores, gingivitis, herpes simplex, hemorrhoids, vulvovaginitis, bee stings, insect bites, acne and other skin-related problems. The Cubans are also using capsules filled with ozonized oil to treat gastro-duodenal ulcers, gastritis, giardia and peptic ulcers.

9.Inhalation of ozone
The lungs are the organs most sensitive to ozone. Physicians who use medical ozone warn that inhaling ozone into the lungs can bring about alterations in the density of the lung tissue, can damage delicate lung membranes, irritate the epithelium [the surface layer of mucus] in the trachea and bronchi, and can lead to emphysema.
They caution users that no ozone should escape into the room in which it is being used. Modern medical ozone generators are specially designed so that the accidental escape of ozone gas cannot take place. Dr. Stephen A. Levine, the co-author of Antioxidant Adaptation, cautions people against using commercial air purifiers which generate small amounts of ozone to clean the air, since ozone should not be inhaled.
Having said this, it is important to point out that in Russia, tiny amounts of ozone are being added to oxygen for short-term therapeutic inhalation in certain cases. This has been done with patients suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning, and doctors have been impressed with the results. No adverse effects were observed.

Although ozone can be dangerous when mishandled, ozone therapy is safe when administered by a qualified practitioner at established protocols. A 1982 German study of 384,775 patients (5,779,238 treatments) documented only a 0.0007% rate of adverse side effects.
However, some physicians believe that direct IV application of ozone is dangerous.

We need to develop a deeper awareness of the importance of ozone, and learn to view it in a broader perspective. On one hand, we must work to reduce the pollutants which combine with ozone in the lower atmosphere by conserving the energy we use at home and at work, buying products that can be repaired instead of replaced, using our cars less, walking and riding bicycles more, and taking public transportation whenever possible will help. At the same time, we must support the use of alternatives to the many dangerous chemicals that destroy the fragile ozone later which is rapidly being depleted.
At the same time, we can educate ourselves in the therapeutic use of medical ozone. As an inexpensive gas that is readily available, simple to produce, and safe to use, the potential of medical ozone in both preventing and treating disease is enormous.
Its' use can not only help solve the nation's health care crisis (by providing cheap and safe preventative as well as crisis care), but can help eliminate much of the suffering brought about by the side effects of chemotherapy, surgery and other invasive medical procedures.

Ozone therapy is not backed by the health authorities or medical associations.
In majority of the US states, the marketing of ozone generators, its medical use and even research and clinical trials of ozone therapy are prohibited. Doctors can lose their medical licenses if they are found administering or prescribing ozone therapies. Ozone has been in use as a disinfectant or sterilizer of the operating rooms and the surgical instruments, since 1856.

In Europe, ozone was used to disinfect drinking water which contained bacteria and viruses. The known first use of ozone in ozone therapy is recorded in 'The Lancet' published in 1892, which describes the administration of ozone to treat tuberculosis. In 1902 another article that claimed success in treating chronic middle ear deafness with ozone was published. During the 19th century, doctors became familiar with ozone's anti bacterial properties. During the first world war, taking into consideration the above property of ozone, ozone was used to treat infected wounds and doctors discovered that ozone is not only a good remedy for infection but it also has hemodynamic (blood circulation) and anti inflammatory properties.

The U.S.F.D.A. has declared that ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application in specific, adjunctive or preventive therapy. According to the studies conducted, the concentration required for effective use of ozone as a germicide is far greater than the concentration which can be tolerated by man and animals. So it is considered as unsafe. However, the FDA has recently allowed the use of ozone as a disinfectant in the food processing industry. No researches, reporting benefits of 'ozone use in medicine' have been yet published by WHO and JAMA, Journal of the American Medical Association

Ozone has been used since 1856 to disinfect operating rooms in European hospitals, and since 1860 to purify the water supplies of several large German cities. Ozone was not, however, used to treat patients until 1915, when a German doctor named Albert Wolff began to use it to treat skin diseases. During World War I, the German Army used ozone to treat wounds and anaerobic infections. In the 1950s, several German physicians used ozone to treat cancer alongside mainstream therapeutic methods.
It is estimated that as of the late 1990s, about 8,000 practitioners in Germany were using ozone in their practices. This figure includes medical doctors as well as naturopaths and homeopaths.
Today, Florida is where the prohibition of ozone therapy is most rigorously enforced in the United States

Main factors for the effectiveness of in-duct UVC systems intended to disinfect moving airstreams are UVC intensity at operating conditions, microbial susceptibility to UVC, duct wall reflectance and the cumulative effect of UVC on the microorganisms.
Given this information, UVC system designers can make educated performance estimates for the HVAC applications in hospitals. The results will provide measurable cost savings by:

Reduction in patient and staff medical expenses resulting from nosocomial infections, operating room infections, and aspergillosis

Reduction in routine maintenance costs for cleaning of ducts and coils

Improved efficiency of HVAC systems resulting in energy savings and extended life of the systems

At the time, the U.S. Army wasalso developing a new assault rifle, the XM-8, and it was thought that SOCOMmight use a version of the XM-8 for its own needs. SCAR, however, is somewhatdifferent from the XM-8. For one thing, SCAR must be able to quickly changebarrels and receivers so that it can fire 5.56mm, 7.62mm (large cartridge, likethe M-14 and American medium machine-guns) or the short (AK-47) 7.62mm rounds.Moreover, SCAR has to be even more rugged and reliable (and expensive to build)than the XM-8. As a result, the XM-8 lost out to a custom series of weaponsfrom the Belgium firm, FN Herstal.

SCAR is actually twodifferent rifles, the “light” version (5.56mm) and the“heavy” (7.62mm). Maximum number of weapons to be ordered will be155,000 (84,000 standard lights, 28,000 closer-quarter combat versions of thelight rifle, 12,000 light sniper types, 15,000 standard heavies, 7,000 heavyclose-quarters combat conversions of the heavy rifle and 12,000 heavy sniperrifles.)

Meanwhile, the U.S.Army has given all other rifle manufacturers one more chance to submit weaponsto compete with the current Heckler & Koch XM-8. This is a sign thatofficial acceptance and mass production is not far away. However, not all ofthe senior army, or Department of Defense, brass are willing to spend thebillions of dollars it will cost to reequip the troops with the XM-8. Thereshould be a decision by next year, however. Meanwhile, SOCOM will have SCAR,even if the army ends up not getting the XM-8.

The XM25 is being developed by the ATK corporation of USA, with the help of the famous German arms manufacturer Heckler und Koch. The XM25 semiautomatic grenade launcher (air bursting assault weapon in the manufacturer's terms) is a direct result of the American XM29 OICW program, which has been suspended in 2004 due to impossibility of reaching weight goals, and subsequently split up into two OICW Block 1 systems - the XM8 5.56mm modular carbine, and the XM25 25mm semiautomatic grenade launcher, along with XM104 target acquisition / fire control system (FA/FCS, also known as 'computerized sight'). It is possible that in the future the XM8, XM25 and XM104 will be again combined into single modular system. However, current plans are to produce and test XM25/XM104 system as a stand-alone weapon, which will greatly improve the firepower of every infantry squad. The 25mm HEAB (High Explosive Air Burst) programmable ammunition will have at least three times longer effective range against p oint target, when compared with current 40mm systems such as M203 single-shot or Milkor Mk.1 multi-shot grenade launchers. It also will improve lethality and hit probability thanks to the rage-finding day/night sight, combined with ballistic computer, which will automatically pre-set the aiming reticle in the sight for measured range and program the 25mm grenades to explode in air exactly over or next to the target. The point-detonating capability also will be retained for back-up or anti-vehicle operations. The 25mm ammunition, used in XM25, will share the HEAB warheads with the 25mm crew-served XM307 OCSW weapon, but the cartridge will be shorter, to provide slower velocity and less recoil. XM25 also will be provided with other than HEAB ammunition options, such as FAE/thermobaric and HEAT (armor piercing, with penetration up to 50mm/2inch of RHA) point-detonating warheads for anti-personnel and anti-vehicle use, as well as canister flechette rounds (loaded with multiple steel darts for close combat). Training and less-lethal ammunition also is planned for XM25.

As the XM25 is a stand-alone weapon, its operator (grenadier) will have to carry an additional personal defense weapon, such as pistol or a carbine. Current plans are to issue about two XM25 weapons to infantry squad. It also must be noted that XM25 will not replace neither M249 SAW / light machine guns, nor the 40mm underbarrel grenade launchers (current issue M203 or proposed XM320 single shot add-on shot weapons).

The XM25 is a gas operated, rotating bolt, semiautomatic weapon. It is designed using bullpup layout, with the magazine and bolt located in the buttstock. The weapon housing is made from impact-resistant polymer. The ejection windows for spent cartridge cases are located on both sides of weapon; at any moment, however, only one ejection window is used, the other being closed by the integral dust cover. This, along with ambidextrous controls, allows the operator to fire XM25 from either shoulder, as required. The top of the weapon is fitted with the rail and electronic interface, and will accept XM104 TA/FCS sight unit. The interface is required to provide range information for programming unit, which sets up the grenade airburst fuse at the instant of firing. The XM8 is a true family of weapons with different barrel lengths designed to address all the needs of an infantry squad. The standard model is expected to be lighter than the M4 carbine and no larger in size. There's also a sharpshooter version for increased range; a compact version for cramped quarters; and an auto-rifle version for a squad-automatic weapon. The XM8 family has a 9-inch compact, 12.5-inch carbine and a 20-inch sharpshooter and automatic rifle. The 12.5-inch carbine is 6.4 pounds with an objective of 5.7 pounds and is 33 inches with its adjustable stock extended. The M-16 A2 is 39.63 inches long and 8.79 pounds with a 30-round magazine.
